Why are laptop bags so ugly!? I’m trying to find something versatile and stylish for my new 13’ MacBook, but the choices are very limited (most look like this gray/black blah piece). I’ve tried Casuri but found the shoulder stap to be uncomfortable and bulky. I want something that’s a cross between form and function, form being in the shape of a sexy leather handbag, function being something comfortable to walk with, easy to stash away, and abusable. Tricia is having trouble finding something for her Lenovo S10, too. There’s a huge hole in the laptop bag market and it has me thinking…

I found this TimeScope in Berlin last weekend, whilst there for BarcampBerlin3. It’s like the classic observation telescope that you drop 50c into to use, only instead of seeing into the distance, you can look into the past. It shows images of that location throughout time that you can flick through. A brilliant example of the Long Now
